**Crossmark Policy for Journal of Medicine**

At *Journal of Medicine*, we are committed to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the scholarly record. To support this goal, we participate in the Crossmark service from Crossref. This page outlines our policy for updates, corrections, retractions, and other post-publication changes.

### What is Crossmark?

The Crossmark icon on our articles indicates that the content is being actively maintained by the publisher. By clicking the Crossmark logo, readers can verify whether the document is current or if updates are available.

### Types of Updates

We apply the following changes to articles, where applicable:

– **Erratum** – Correction for errors introduced by the journal
– **Corrigendum** – Correction for author-reported errors
– **Addendum** – Supplementary material or clarification
– **Retraction** – Withdrawal of article due to misconduct or critical issues
– **Withdrawal** – Removal of articles before publication if deemed necessary

All changes will be recorded with Crossref and reflected through Crossmark.

### Retraction Policy

Articles may be retracted if they:
– Are found to contain invalid data or results
– Have been published elsewhere (duplicate)
– Involve plagiarism or other unethical conduct

Retracted articles remain publicly accessible and are clearly marked as retracted.

### Maintaining the Scholarly Record

We are committed to transparent and permanent recordkeeping. Updates to the article metadata will be deposited with Crossref and made visible through the Crossmark dialog.
